XK9 Battles Through Expert Qualifiers

The road to the top keeps rising and this past weekend gave us another chance to prove exactly what we are building.

Across Saturday November 8 and Sunday November 9 we fought through six rounds of FACEIT Expert Qualifiers, finishing with a strong 4 to 2 record and placing 10th overall. The competition was intense, the stakes were high, and our team showed once again why we belong in this tier of play.

The Weekend Run

Round One

Our weekend opened with CO Raft and we came out sharp. A clear 2 to 0 victory on Ilios and Dorado set the tone for the qualifier.

Round Two

Next we faced MCC Gold. Another decisive 2 to 0 win on Ilios and Kings Row moved us to 2 and 0 on the day.

Round Three

Our first setback came against EndSky on Ilios and Kings Row. EndSky would go on to finish 7th overall and secure a spot in FACEIT Expert Season Seven.

Round Four

A close series followed against team AntAim. We battled through Ilios Kings Row and Dorado in a tight 1 to 2 finish. AntAim would later claim 8th overall and secure the final qualifying position in the Expert Division.

Round Five

We returned to our winning form against Celest Eclipse. A clean 2 to 0 sweep on Ilios and New Junk City brought our record back into strong position.

Round Six

To close out the weekend we faced Militia Paradox. Another confident 2 to 0 victory on Ilios and Kings Row locked in our 4 to 2 finish and a top ten placement in the field.

What This Means Going Forward

Expert Qualifiers are a proving ground for teams ready to challenge the best and our roster showed exactly that. Every match this weekend was a valuable test of discipline teamwork and adaptability. Finishing 10th overall in such a competitive bracket is a statement of how far we have come and where we are headed next.

With FACEIT Season Seven beginning soon our focus shifts back to the Advanced Division. The lessons learned this weekend will carry directly into the season ahead.
